Seems like a good game, but lag prevents it from being a great one. The lag gets so bad at times that it is game breaking. Fixing this one issue would allow this game to easily earn a 5 stars

Good game, but your character lags way often after round 14, even on the lower quality. Cost me a couple of lives but addicting nonetheless. Improving this one problem, or perhaps an option for the bodies to clear up would help those that don't have uber computers.
@LiNaK37
You have to use melee or unarmed to knock off the enemies helmets, then you shoot them in the head to kill them.
Good game, could be better with some tweaks...
This was a very fun and enjoyable game, however just a few tweaks would have made this a number one on the front page.
First, I had found that other than dropping off alien troops, the player wasnt very involved in the success during gameplay. It had become more like watching a show than playing a game. The addition of the shockwave seemed little more than a tack on, as I found the game consistently spammed them after the enemy troops were killed.
I admire the diversity of the number of alien troops you could have at your disposal, along with the upgrades, but many of the troops simply were not necessary. many other units could attack buildings as well as enemy troops, essentially devaluing the demolition alien. This is merely one example of many.
( Game Ruiner Strategy Ahead, do not read unless you have already beat the game)
**********
During the mid to latter levels, I found a strategy that required merely the use of three separate troops that were extremely successful all the way to the last level and including it. It seemed that ( when fully upgraded), the 50 point trap, and both flying units were all the player needed to win. Placing down the traps on AA units to kill multiple of them, then spamming 5-6 AA flying troops, then releasing the multitarget aerial troop would decimate any level. The game had lost its troop diversity at that point, as no other alien was necessary.
On the good side, I loved the artwork and moving backgrounds. The little graphical improvemnets in a game does a lot to pull in the player, and you guys did a great job coding the game.
Can't wait to see the next installment, with a few tweaks, it would be perfect!
Yet another great game....
...From the bloons series.
I have always had a cozy place in my heart for bloons.
This game is a great addition to the series, and is a wonderful, yet unexpected form. Never thought I would see a vertical shooter bloons game, yet you make it happen.
I loved the gameplay, and had much joy realizing I could take control of one of the most crucial characters to the bloons series, the supermonkey. The game was incredibly easy to understand, and the simple movement of the mouse made learning the game a breeze. The artwork was colorful as always, and the level design was definitely intense. Kinda brought me back to the oldschool arcade shooters. I dont know how much more praise I can stuff in, but I do have one suggestion. Perhaps include a pause button? Their are alot of distractions that may occur outside of a game, and a pause button would be useful to many players of this game.
All in all, this game deserves a 10/10 as far as I am concerned, but just the one suggestion provided abov I hope will be taken into acount.
A definite improvement...
... From your last game.
Things I liked---
---------------------
A greater variety of weapons. This had provided the player to develop more strategies with a greater variety of weaponry.
Upgrades- I had loved how you had included super weapons. These had provided the gamer with either a last ditch effort to stay alive, or just an extra weapon to keep hold of strategic dominance. In other words, a smart idea, and I congratulate you for it.
Artwork- I saw such an improvement in the artwork, no longer just shifting heads, on a bland terrain. Now the game is more attractive, and a wider variety of audience may be attracted to your game.
Quality button- Definitely useful in the latter levels for the near endless waves of infantry and vehicles.
Suggestions---
---------------------
A pause button
Volume control buttons
Place the start button farther away from the Main Menu button--- I found myself in the midst of an upgrade, to scroll down and mistakenly click on the main menu button. I click back to start a game, and find that my game had been reset. Innocent enough of a mistake, but moving the current location of the buttons farther apart may reduce any frustration on the defense audience.
Maybe make certain weapons to be purchased at any time? Like I would have preferred to save up and purchase the shotgun, than to purchase the confetti maker ( aka the machine gun).
In addition to the above comment, perhaps make weapons in the order they were placed a certain amount of currency more to purchase than the previous weapon as the higher grade weapons are more valuable tactically speaking.
Also I had noticed when one exits from the current game, then starts another one, the dead bodies from the previous game remain. At the time of playing, I didnt have many dead bodies on screen, but removing this faulty game mechanic may relieve gamers from any possible lag.
Maybe also allow the player to rotate weapons in game with hotkeys, but require a certain amount of downtime to counteract with any strategic advantage? I would have loved to continue using the flamethrower for the waves of infantry, but switch to other weapons to take out vehicles.
-----------
All in all, this was a great game, with perhaps some suggestions to be taken, but many improvements to be congratulated on.
8/10
I do enjoy defense games...
This one was a little blah..
However the good things I will list, and many newgrounds users contribute to as well
1.) I did enjoy the different enemies - it kept the game from becoming bland. The different enemies made the game player have to switch up their strategies, be it from spray an pray, to a more accurate approach
2.) The differentiating weapons were also a pleasant surprise, and allowed for various players to take grasp of a variety of strategies, whether it be spray and pray style, to overloading the screen with scolding plasma.
3.) An effective use of flashkit sounds - The sounds and effects were used efficiently.
4.) This being an early submission of yours, it is well done.
Suggestions---
The game itself did seem to have a variety of glitches, including an annoying on where the enemies could hide on the sides of the screens so that they would remain well hidden.
Maybe post a link to the sequels you have made, or perhaps other games? I can see you may have a future in flash, and I would love to follow your progress.
What an amazing game!
Love the concept, and the retro graphics turn me on. This is a game that is literally a genre maker, as I havent really seen too many games nearly as well made as this series. Already cant wait to see a sequel, and this will be taking up much of my time. One suggestion though is that whenever I do upgrade the MJ zombie is that there is a max zombie limit, so one doesnt really know what the upgrades entail. Perhaps this is merely my POV ( which has been incorrect). I also found that when the MJ zombie is placed, one has a decent amount of time to collect cash. Is this a game mechanic needing to be fixed, or was it purposely put in place to assist the game audience in collecting the money? I am not certain whether this was an intended thing, but just an interesting subject to point out.
Cant wait to see a sequel ( though Im not quite sure how one could top such a fine piece of work)
Epicness to a new hotdog munching level!
A much deserved 10 out of 10.
Loved the gameplay, the music is fitting to Rocco's character, and loved the artwork. I will be playing this game for a long time.
Can't wait for a sequel!
Its an Ok game... but
The game was sort of bland.
Nothing to creative, and nothing ever really changing. Zombies remain the same, the camera was strange, and why use the mouse for firing. It may have been a better idea to use the space bar instead. Just some things that are meant to be taken as suggestions.
Kenyans attack!!!
Those zombies were kinda like the L4D ones. Great game, but in endless zombie mode there was a glitch that I couldnt reload any of my weapons after purchasing 2x capacity for the turret gun. Might want to fix that bug.
